Longmans issued reprints in The Silver Library

McKinlay, Stone and Mackenzie issued a 20-volume set in the 1920s in 4 different bindings, each with one illustration as a frontispiece.

The best binding is shown below

Below: the two other bindings found on the 20-volume sets

Below: McKinlay, Stone and Mackenzie also issued a 13-volume set in the 1920s in a glazed cloth/buckram

I used to own this set, but sold it to another collector

Below: the complete set of 6 volumes reprinted by The Readers' Library in the 1920s

Below: the complete set of 23 volumes reprinted by P.F. Collier in the 1920s, each with one illustration as a frontispiece. Decent quality binding and paper, far better than the reprints by McKinlay, Stone and MacKenzie from the same era.

I used to own this set--a few of these sets, actually; but have sold them all off to other collectors

Below: 5 Hodder & Stoughton reprints circa 1920s or 1930s

Below: a nearly-complete set of 21 volumes reprinted by MacDonald in the 1940s/50s/60s

I used to own this set, but sold it to another collector
