1987 - Rage

William Heinemann published the first British edition, and Little, Brown published the first American edition.

William Heinemann reprinted RAGE a few times: in 1987, and 1990 for a Uniform Edition, even though Uniform Edition is not stated on the copyright page.

The second photo below appears to show Wilbur signing individual pages that have not yet been bound into book-form. This is possible with the cheaper, modern perfect binding technique that was first used on Wilbur's THE EYE OF THE TIGER in 1975.

I own an exceedingly rare Uncorrected Proof copy

The book is shorter than the DJ because it is just the textblock bound in wrappers instead of boards.

Notice that corrections are found within this Uncorrected Proof

I own the copy that Wilbur gave to his wife, Danielle, to whom he dedicated this novel. This is one-of-a-kind!

I also own the copy that Wilbur gifted to his mother-in-law. "Mom" is Danielle's mother.

The only other signed copy I have ever seen where Wilbur included a date in the year of publication is above.

Below: A copy that is owned by Nick De Carteret, signed by both Wilbur and F.W. De Klerk

I have owned and sold numerous signed copies of RAGE. The copies below are first printings.

The South African edition

Little, Brown published its first edition in 1987

I own 1 copy of the American first edition, and it is NOT signed

Signed copies are very rare; I have never seen one before
